I was there at the fan conference of one of the sexiest man alive today – Zac Efron!
Manila, Philippines – Penshoppe, one of the Philippines’ clothing giants, brought Hollywood star Zac Efron to the country last September 29, 2012 (Saturday) for his first ever endorsement for the local brand (or any other brand).
Although I have a VIP ticket, it was free seating so I had to go to the venue a bit early so as to get a good seat.
I arrived at the SM Mall of Asia (MOA) grounds at about 3pm, had the cab driver check the MOA Arena first and saw that there was already a long line of people lined up. Talk about loyal fans!
I still had to buy some stuff and eat early dinner so I when I got back to the venue (4pm), it doubled into the line of people pictured above.
You can feel the tension of the people. Everyone wanted to get in so bad. We were all excited and aggressive.
The security people had so much trouble pacifying the crowd. I was a bit scared that there might be a stampede anytime but good thing that I got in just fine.
After getting inside the MOA Arena lobby (5:55pm), we spent about 30 minutes waiting in line again. Don’t get me wrong, I am not complaining at all. ;)
A few years ago, I promised myself that if ever I had the chance to meet Zac Efron in person, I would do everything, I mean EVERYTHING, just to see him. And now that I had the opportunity, I just can’t let it pass!
Finally, when we were let inside the VIP area, people weren’t able to keep calm: we had to walk over chairs to be able to run and get good seats! Good thing that I was able to find a good one near the stage.
Again, we had to wait for a couple more hours for the program to start. All the time I still can’t believe I was about to see Zac Efron in person!
I actually used my mobile phone taking these pics because digicams and professional cameras were confiscated at the guard.
Just look at the amount of people in the arena! It was incredible.
About 8:30pm, the lights dimmed and a five-minute timer started counting. It was the longest five minutes of my life!!!
Everyone’s heartbeat was beating fast.
There were front acts. Filipino trio La Diva sang a couple of songs, making the crowd dance.
New band Never the strangers performed a couple of covers.
My favorite singer Jay R sang a couple of songs too! I love his cover of Usher!!!
Afterwards, the UP Pep squad did some cheerdancing in the tune of High School Musical songs and the audience went berserk!!!

Hunky Zac or skinny Justin?
